Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire (February 27, 2010 until Toronto ON). Pointe Claire is a quiet neighborhood located on the West Island, which is an island in Montreal. This part of Montreal is known as the West Island has a lot of diverse communities. For those who haven't heard of it often confuse it with a separate, west-facing island. Amanda Brugel grew up on this island, and it is frequently called her birthplace. However, she only was there for a brief duration. Brugel grew up in Courtice close to Oshawa Ontario. She wanted to become professional, however due to an explosive increase in her height, she outgrew every dance partner she met. In an article in the Toronto Star she admitted In heels, I'm 6'1 inch. When I reached the height of the size of my male friends then I stopped. There are many dancers who make the move into acting. In the case of Brugel, it was her drama teacher who nudged her into this path. Teacher who recommended she try to find a role in the school's annual show. The teacher who suggested she take on a part in the school's annual show. She was awarded the Fine Arts Talent Scholarship to go to York University's Theatre Program and graduated from the program in 2000, earning a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts. For the past twenty years, her roles in the world of television and on the screen have been numerous. The character of Rita from the award winning series The Handmaid's Tale was her most memorable. Brugel was the sole Canadian part of the cast during Season 1 of the show and was only appeared on occasion.
